Disneyland Fire Destroys Nine Cars

Annie Swierczek, Staff Writer

February 13th, Disneyland in Anaheim had a total of nine cars catch on fire in the parking structure. This came as a surprise to everyone as Disneyland holds the strong reputation as safe for children of all ages. The smoke reportedly scared multiple children and may hurt sales at Disney in the future.

Seven Disney employees were asked to receive medical treatment due to smoke inhalation. The workers refused attention after the incident as the injuries were non-life threatening. Including health concerns, the damage of the parking structure and cars skyrocketed to over a hundred thousand dollars.

Lots of commotion resulted from the fire as no cars were allowed to enter the parking structure. And to add to that, all cars were ordered to be evacuated from the premises to allow the authorities to address the issue.

On the bright side, the fire will have no long lasting effect as the Fire Marshall has confirmed it was one of the car engines that sparked the fire and nothing faulty of the building structure. Disneyland has successfully recovered from the fire and only one area of the parking structure has been sectioned off to be cleaned up.
