Ever since I started listening to metal music I’ve been told that it’s nothing but dark lyrics and “Satan Worship” but what causes these accusations? If you ever sat down and listened to the lyrics of a metal song you would notice that there is no type of Satan praise within those lyrics. All metal heads that get told that they are going to hell for the “vile” music they listen to like to make a joke about it in the end.
There are bands out there who give metal music a bad rep because they do have slight satanic meanings and unfortunately fall under the metal category. If you go back into even the 80’s the 90’s when rock and roll and metal was popular you still had people back in that generation even calling Metallica satanic. There is no factual evidence to prove that any of the metal bands that are here today are satanic. The guitar patterns, the drum beat, the base line, or the vocalist does not make any of the music that we metal heads listen to satanic.
When people assume that we worship Satan because we are listening to simple metal they also assume that we are rude or angry people which is never the case. With metal music comes a lot of stereotypes such as “that music you listen to is satanic” is the most common one we metal heads get the most. Before you go out are start judging people for the type of music that they listen to please take the time to listen and understand the music before you go and start making accusations and forcing those accusations on others. When you force your opinion without even taking the time to understand what is you’re so critical about it’s highly annoying to those you’re criticizing.

In conclusion there is no factual relation to satanic customs to those of metal music so the stigma of metal music should disappear and we should all just rock out to all our different music preferences.
