Shark Fest! The school year’s first event, in my opinion, was a total success. It is an annual event here at Santiago, where school members and community members can come to interact with each other and have a great time among food trucks and more.

Shark Fest, which was held on Wednesday, August 22nd, had events for everyone – you could eat, hang out with friends, jump in the inflatable castles, and just have an all around good time. One booth featured at the event was one where you could dunk your teacher, which was a hit among the students – many took shots at trying to dunk their teachers.

The other activities offered were also popular. For instance, they had blow-up racers where you and a buddy could go face-to-face and compete to the end to see who the champion was. That’s not all – they had many other games as well. There was a game where you could jump onto a wall and climb up. After all of that racing and jumping, it was time to eat! On the basketball courts, there were multiple food trucks available to choose from. There was a Kona Ice truck, a frozen yogurt truck, and even a BBQ food truck. In my opinion, it was a great event. Everyone there was relaxed and simply there to have a good time. Santiago did a fantastic job with putting this event together, and I definitely recommend that you all go next year and see what the event is all about.
