NYC Terror Attack

On the morning of December 12, 2017, an attempted terrorist attack occurred in a busy transport hub in New York City. The officials were notified that a man wearing a homemade pipe bomb set off the explosive in the transport hub. The attempted attack set of panic in the morning commute and five people were injured.

Authorities said that the explosion was in an isolated place, so thankfully no one got seriously hurt. The suspect is Akayed Ullah (27) acting in response to the Israeli actions in Gaza. Ullah pledged his allegiance to ISIS. It was a lone wolf attack and fortunately it didn’t go the way Ullah wanted it to. Investigators said that Ullah had two devices on him. The device that detonated was a foot-long pipe that contained black powder, a battery, wiring, nails, and screws.

Earlier in the day, before the attack, Ullah posted, “Trump you failed to protect your nation” on Facebook. The five people injured suffered only minor injuries while the suspect was seriously injured. In an interview with investigators, Ullah admitted to building the bomb and carrying out his plan, saying that ISIS inspired him. Ullah faces five federal terrorism-related charges and three state terrorism-related charges.

It is beyond me why someone would throw their lives away – and at such a young age! – to do something so repulsive and inhuman. This is just one of many terrible events that have happened over the years. We’re in a time where the world and the people in it are corrupted, and before we know it, we will be too.
