After the chaos that ensued in Season 1 with Riverdale’s own serial killer, the Black Hood, no one really knew what the writers were going to bring to the television screen for viewers. The first season ended while Archie Andrews was debating whether or not he helped catch the real Black Hood, and at the same time Hiram Lodge was cooking up a new plan for the town.

Now…even more drama has happened in Riverdale leaving every fan on the edges of their couches every time a new episode aired. Apart from the drama, the creators even added in a musical episode since this particular season was not as music-filled with Archie giving up music. It may have been the school musical, but the writers couldn’t let the viewers catch a breath from all the drama.

This last season, we saw a lot more of the Southside Serpents with the combining of the Southside and the Northside and of course a lot more dynamic duos including the new found love of Toni and Cheryl. Turns out no one caught the Black Hood and you discover who was one of the killers…yes, I said one and no, I am not going to say who ended up being the mastermind behind it all. Jughead and Archie, as per usual, got themselves into a lot more trouble and Archie is the assistant to a mobster or monster, whichever way you choose to see him. Betty is in her own little world with her personal family issues you get a front row seat for. Viewers even got to see the return of Dark Betty which seemed to be a fan favorite in the beginning of Season 1 but now is a little worrisome.

Season 2 ended on May 17, 2018 with a final twist – with Hermione Lodge winning the mayoral election and Hiram hiring a new sheriff to back him up. There’s a new Black Hood, or should I say Black Hoods, and several more murderous attempts from those fellows. Now, we are left with new hatred, new Serpents, and new rivalries.
