“Spider-Man: Far From Home”
February 4, 2019
Marvel recently announced that Spider-Man: Homecoming’s sequel will come out on July 5, 2019, called Spider-Man: Far From Home. The movie will include the stars from the previous Spider-Man movie, including Tom Holland, Jacob Batalon, Zendaya , and Marisa Tomei. It will also include some new faces to the Marvel Cinematic Universe like Jake Gyllenhaal. The anticipated movie has since released its trailer, and fans cannot contain their excitement.
The trailer begins with a clip of Peter Parker and his Aunt May at a convention for Spider-Man while Peter is in his Spider-Man suit. In the first Spider-Man movie, Peter was very clear about his need to keep his secret about being Spider-Man from Aunt May due to her being overprotective. It’s clear from the clip that since the first movie, Peter was able to tell May about him being a superhero, and she ended up being very supportive.
The trailer continues to show Peter getting ready to leave Queens, New York and go on a field trip to Europe, a trip he does not want Spider-Man to be a part of. Sadly for him, Aunt May packed it for him to take on his trip. During the trailer, we see a scene of Peter and MJ finally starting something, and while Peter and Ned are talking, Peter mentions how he thinks MJ really likes him and how he wants to spend time with her.
However, in the same scene, Ned gets tranquilized by none other than Nick Fury. Nick Fury has a talk with Peter and mentions that he has to be Spider-Man to save his friends from the villains. Throughout the trailer, we see the villains Sandman, Hydro-Man, and Molten Man. We also see Mysterio in the trailer and can only assume him and Spider-Man team up to defeat all of the villains. I guess Peter Parker didn’t exactly get the fun vacation he wanted, did he?
