Tory Lanez, a Canadian rapper was accused and found guilty of shooting his ex; famous rapper Megan Thee Stallion. He was found guilty by his last lawyer, George Mgdesyan, of shooting his former girlfriend and rapper Megan hee Stallion in the foot 3 years ago in 2020.  Since he lost the case, Tory Lanez decided to hire Snoop Dogg’s old lawyer, David Kenner, that helped him win his case of an alleged murder in 1993. During this trial, Tory’s lawyer George states that Tory wanted new representation because he doesn’t specialize in appeals such as this case. Snoop Dogg rapped about his case in one of his songs “Murder on the Case” where he states, “Without David Kenner, there’d be no Snoop Dogg. Tory’s legal representatives requested more time on the case which should be ready by February 8 at the earliest and February 28th at the latest. Tory’s parents especially his father were found very upset outside of the Court which fans have believed destroyed his reputation.

In a recent video, Tory’s dad stated they have forgiven Megan but this left the fans confused because they believe Megan did nothing wrong since she is the victim of the attack. Tory faced 3 felony charges including assault with a supposed semiautomatic handgun. On social media, Megan testified that she received death threats from him. He had the nerve to shoot her after an argument that took place 2 years ago. He is expected to face more than 20 years in prison and could be deported.

The incident has said to have occurred in July 2020 after a party in Los Angeles. He lashed out at Megan after she made fun of his rapping abilities but some sources also believe that another woman had shot at her because Tory and Megan were an item. 4 months later, Megan Thee Stallion decided to take action and told reporters about the incident and said it could have been because of the recent tensions involving George Floyd and the black community and she didn’t want to come off as a snitch. Since the encounter, Megan states it has had a big effect on her mental health and hindered her career. During his trial, Mr. Lanez didn’t testify and told the jurors that Megan Thee Stallion has lied to get attention as the shooting occurred as Megan Thee Stallion’s fame was growing. Right after the incident, Megan posted that she had suffered from gunshot wounds and required surgery that later had been released that Mr. Lanez was the shooter who has been arrested for holding a firearm in his vehicle. Mr. Lanez later explained that “We both know what happened that night and what I did/But it ain’t what they say.” In October 2020, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office charged him with assault. When the police arrived she just claimed that the injury was due to an incident involving glass. Tory just keeps denying everything and stating that they don’t have any real evidence that it was him since his back was turned. Tory’s lawyer simplifies that, “This case was about jealousy and a sexual relationship.”
