In a shocking turn of events, the TikTok influencer Terryon Thomas, most known for his persona Mr Prada, has been arrested for the murder of his therapist, causing outrage and disbelief in the social media community. This tragic case shines a light on mental health awareness and social media fame.
Mr Prada had become famous on TikTok for his relatable videos, funny personality, and fashion. He has millions of followers and is loved for his funny skits and dances. But behind this cheerful image, he was dealing with a lot of mental health issues, and reports suggest that he had been in therapy for anxiety and depression for many years.
His popularity and pressure to maintain his views and popularity would grow. Many influencers face anxiety from all of the publicity and the hate, no exception from Mr Prada. He seemed to be happy and hilarious to many online, but no one knew the truth about what issues he was going through mentally.
More details about the murder are still coming, but the reports indicate that the incident occurred during a regular therapy session. Witnesses say that a disagreement happened, and it escalated into violence, and friends of Mr Prada noted that he became frustrated with this therapy. He said he felt it wasn’t helping him as he expected, as he would talk to them on Discord and Instagram DMs.
His therapist, William Nicholas Abraham, was a well-respected therapist who helped so many—shocking to everyone once the murder happened, especially to Abraham’s patients and colleagues. The real question was why Prada would do this. Looking more into it, allegedly, his therapist had SA’d him when he was younger, being a possible motive.
After the murder, after committing the crime, he took Abraham’s car and went on a shopping spree right after he also mentioned to one of his friends that he was going to go shopping. Additionally, he made weird comments about possibly doing something to somebody as a joke, which came to reality.
Prada had then fled from the police in William’s car, and the cops had then searched his home and found that outside, there was an altercation that appeared to be violent that took place. The police found a “significant amount of blood” and many sharp objects and weapons. Last witnesses had said they saw Prada struggling to drag a full blue sheet down the stairs of the apartment building before putting the tarp in William’s car.
“It was a very physical and very violent attack,” Tangipahoa Parish sheriff Gerald Sticker told a local TV station, WAFB.”He was bludgeoned about in the head shoulders and neck.”A lawyer previously representing Mr. Abraham expressed him as a “very kind, very tender, very gentle man.”
Thomas had gained popularity on TikTok even more recently because of his comedy videos, but now everyone knows the truth.
Prada is now in custody in Dallas, and Texas is awaiting extradition to Louisiana.
