The movie Sidelined: The QB and Me strongly connects to real life and being in a relationship. It shows a perfect story of two people falling in love with each other, and the difficulties are very real in real life. This movie does show the reality of things and does a good job of showing the problems in the relationship. They know how to make it work when they both attend college. They were trying to find multiple ways to make it work, and that was a very real thing to watch because people struggle with that in relationships and making decisions on what’s right.
To start the movie, there is a young girl named Dallas Brian, the girl in the movie, and Drayton, the guy they need to get off to a better start. As Dallas is a cheerleader and Drayton is a football player, she feels that everyone thinks he’s hot and doesn’t know the real him and how girls fan-girl him all the time because that’s how he presents himself. They must start hanging out more because Drayton’s brother starts dating Dallas’s best friend. They’re surrounded by each other way more. Drayton is interested in Dallas, but Dallas is not interested in getting into a relationship because she’s going to college and doesn’t want something holding her back. Being surrounded by each other more, they start to fall for each other a little bit but won’t admit it. She’s just so worried about getting into a relationship because of college. Then he takes her on this trip to a college to visit, and they have a great time. That’s the first time they have made it official that they like each other. Then, they agreed to try a relationship.
As the relationship went well, they started to get comfortable with each other. Then Drain began to look at football schools and commented that he didn’t want to go to a school far because Dallas was going to be kind of far, too, and he didn’t want to be that far away from her. Dallas didn’t want a relationship that hadn’t lasted that long to be the reason why he didn’t go far. So they ended up breaking up. As the breakup went around, they both missed each other and tried to act like they didn’t. They did, but they were both looking at school still, and one day, Dallas thought she should talk to him and try to fix things, and she did, and they ended up talking and saying I love you to each other and getting back together.
They both said they would live in a moment and enjoy their relationship. Then, once they have to go, they’ll say their goodbyes and make it work. One day, Dallas had gotten into USC, and Drayton surprised her he had transferred to play college football there. This story relates to real life because many people struggle with being in relationships and having to go far away. They try to go long distances, and it’s tough. I feel like we should always fight for something we want and try rather than never try and not know what will happen. This couple just tried and cared about each other, and it just showed.
In conclusion, this movie relates to reality because these are real things that people struggle with. This movie portrayed a role of how to make it better and honestly showed such a good love story. I inspired many people to keep trying in a relationship and not give up when things are hard. Their love story showed that if you keep trying, you can make it work and not give up so easily. Honestly, that’s just through life, too. It is like just doing your best and not giving up on something that you know could work, and I thought that’s what they did well showcasing in the movie was that you know when things are hard, don’t give up, like keep going.
