It’s the season for tree decorating, shopping for gifts, and holiday outings. Here are a few of the many places in California to visit that are filled with Holiday magic and Christmas Spirit.
Disney Festival of Holidays:
The Christmas Disney Magic officially started on November 15, 2024, and will continue through January 6, 2025. Anaheim Disneyland Park is beautifully decorated for the holiday season, offering festive displays, seasonal parades, food, holiday merchandise, and much more! Cinderella Castle is adorned with snow and shimmering Christmas lights to amplify the holiday atmosphere. To conclude the night, Disneyland presents its annual spectacular Christmas light show.
Knott’s Merry Farm:
The holiday spirit has officially arrived at Knott’s Berry Farm from November 22, 2024, to January 5, 2025. According to Knotts events, Knott’s offers many holiday foods, including glazed ham, cheese, cranberry aioli sandwiches, turkey balls with mashed potatoes, gravy, crispy Brussels sprouts, and much more! The towering Christmas tree will be transformed into a magical display of shimmering lights. In Ghost Town, the annual Snow and Glow event lights up the night with shimmering displays and festive holiday music, all brought to life by the magical “SnowFall,” which adds the perfect finishing touch. The celebration ends with energetic performances by singers, dancers, and a special appearance by Snoopy, spreading holiday cheer to families and friends.
Holidays Made Here:
The Warner Bros. Studio Tour takes you behind the scenes to explore iconic sets of TV shows and movies. “Gilmore Girls” highlights the Studio Tour’s holiday showcase. From December 18, 2024, to January 5, 2025, part of the set will be recreated to capture the Christmas spirit of Stars Hollow. The iconic “Lukes Dinner” will be open for business, serving hot coffee, Pop-Tarts, popcorn, pastries, and much else! Walking through “Stars Hollow,” you will experience the classic gazebo, the Stars Hollow Sign, Lorelai’s house, Mrs. Kim’s Antiques, the Bjork Snowman, and Doose’s Market. To get a tour of the whole studio, the tickets start at $73.
Julian Farm & Orchard:
Julian is a little town an hour east of San Diego, California. The small town is well-known for its Julian Pie Company, offering a wide variety of warm, handcrafted pies, including apple, pecan, peach, apple crumb pie, and many more! From November 9, 2024, to January 1, 2024, Julian Farm will be decorated with the holiday spirit and beautiful Christmas lights. Julian also offers an Ice Skating Rink for family and friends; the tickets cost around $12 to $18. As the night goes on, horse-drawn carriages proceed to the small town. They are wrapped in colorful Christmas Lights.
