Who is Ash Trevino, and why is there so much controversy about her? Ash Trevino is a 36-year-old from San Antonio, Texas.  She has around 700,000 followers on TikTok and around 134,000 on Instagram.  She also has two teenage daughters whom she neglects.  She has gained a lot of negative attention due to her having relationships with incarcerated men, and has earned a label known as “the inmate hopper”.  Many people perceive her as somewhat eccentric and unconventional. Her TikTok livestreams consist of spontaneous moments and blunt rants.  She has made many headlines for causing scenes and problems in many different public places.

Most other influencers forecast a totally ideal life; however, Ash Trevino does not care about that.  Most influencers filter themselves and post only the best parts of their lives. She does not filter herself or sugarcoat anything in her life for the media.  She shows her genuine, unfiltered emotions and her vulnerability. Swaying into controversy and responding to criticism with anger and defiance.  She does not care about mannerisms or propriety whatsoever.  Her controversial actions in her content have drawn her a lot of attention.  One of her famous quotes is “If you’re here to hate, you’re still watching–and that’s a win for me.”  Her reckless actions are what got her to go viral, and there is a lot of controversy going on around her, which actually just benefited her with fame instead.

Ash Trevino has faced considerable criticism due to her parenting.  There have been many Child Protective Services (CPS) cases involving her and her daughters.  She said in her livestream once, “I’ve had like 20 CPS cases, but they all got dismissed because my kids are in good hands”. Another quote from her on that, “Y’all really trying to get my kids taken from me and it’s not gonna happen, do you know how many CPS cases I’ve had on me in the last four months? I still have custody of my kids.”  She even publicly admitted to pulling her daughter’s hair out of jealousy because she came to believe that her ex-husband loved her daughter more than her.  Her daughters have even spoken out about how they apparently had lost friends, had to leave school, and that they live primarily with their grandparents now.  Ash also neglected her children’s basic needs.  When they stay with her, they sleep on air mattresses and do not have proper beds.  A streamer, Camila Araujo, even offered to buy them beds, which Ash ultimately declined.  She does not provide a good or safe environment for her daughters at all.  I personally think that is insane because Ash apparently earns $10,000 every two hours from her TikTok livestreams.  I think she is a terrible mother, and almost everyone online has said the same about her.  Everyone, including me, sees her as a crazy person, possibly with mental issues.

Her dating history includes some seriously violent offenders, which she has brought around her children, which is not something a good, protective mother would do.  There was an incident in San Antonio where an associate of hers was arrested for the use of firearms, and Ash ended up paying the bail for them, which does not show she has good morals at all for supporting that.  

Ash Trevino may have some things she needs to work through.  Her daughters truly deserve so much better.  No child should be sleeping on an air mattress in their own house or being around any violent offenders. Unfortunately, there are people like that who lack manners and propriety.  I hope other people who know about this situation have gained awareness of how not to parent.  I want people to see her parenting and realize the importance of a good and safe environment and proper living necessities for their children. Ash Trevino’s story is a cautionary tale about internet fame and what happens when attention is prioritized over responsibility. Whether you find her entertaining or alarming, it’s clear her daughters deserve more than viral chaos and online drama.
