On October 27th, 2014, Crossroads held their annual Halloween dance party. The theme was “Hollywood Blackout After Party”, based on the Great Gatsby that won the most votes out of the other themes.
Crossroads High school outdid themselves, from the amazing message to the blackout decorations. The dance floor was filled with many students enjoying themselves dancing on the platform under the colorful flashing lights and blasting music from the spectacular DJ. Several glow sticks that caught everyone’s eye illuminated a display of desserts and drinks for the students.
Other activities students could entertain themselves with at the dance were a fun photo booth and entering a costume contest. The photo booth was surrounded by a black light and fun props students could use in their photos. Also entering the costume contest was fun because they would send “paparazzi” to take pictures of you to enter in the contest.
“I loved the dance and the message that the pastor Marcus gave,” said Avery (12)
“I really enjoyed the dancing even though there was a lot of different dance moves to every song,” said Lisa (12)
“Even with the technical difficulties we were able to have fun with what we had,” said Justin (12)
With great comments, memories, and funny moments we can thank the high school ministry, which is filled with Santiago students for making the night so amazing.
