The beloved Paddington has come onto the big screen and was released on Friday, January 16, 2015. The brown family were living a peaceful life until one rainy night leaves this family with an unusual guest. The browns go on quite an adventure to help Paddington find a home. Soon, they start to realize Paddington may not be safe alone in London.
This movie had an opening similar to “UP”, but this time it’s wasn’t as interesting. The actors did a somewhat satisfactory job on trying to capture the characters’ skepticism in the beginning. The lighting in this movie was great and the setting and the story captured more of the audience’s attention showing how beautiful London is. Thanks to the open-minded Mrs. Brown (Sally Hawkins) who didn’t listen to her husband’s word and showed a homeless bear some kindness, Paddington has gained a new family. While the other family members such as uptight Mr. Brown (Hugh Bonneville), daughter Judy (Madeleine Harris) and son Jonathan (Samuel Joslin) show no interest in Paddington.
They tried to make Paddington a family friendly movie and that is exactly what it is, it came out better than expected. They did a great job capturing the love the Brown’s had for Paddington.
If you’re looking for a blockbuster movie to have a little excitement and love, then this movie is for you. Everything about this movie is entertaining and loving. It’s the kind of family film that gives everyone a good time, regardless of your age.
