The entrancing movie, The Age of Adaline, swept into theaters on April 24, 2015. This movie has been one of the most highly advertised and highly anticipated films of the year so far. Adaline Bowman was born in the early 1900s, and became ageless after an accident in the middle of the century. For about 60 years, Adaline kept her secret between her and her daughter, until one fateful New Year’s Eve party. An enchanting movie with a unique storyline and a wonderful cast, this movie is bound to do well.
This movie had many great points, including its casting, plotline, and theatrical aspects. In this film, there weren’t many special effects, besides the occasional car crash scene. The costumes for the film fit the characters personalities very well. The musical scores for the different scenes fit the changing moods throughout the movie, as did the lighting and camera work. Though the movie wasn’t a comedy, there were small hints of humor that had audiences laughing. In addition to all this, the audience was treated to a sporadic narration including hints of back-story about Adaline as well as bits of scientific information. The acting in this film was as exceptional as expected. With a five star cast including actors such as, Blake Lively, Michiel Huisman, and Harrison Ford; this is a cast to beat. Audiences so far are enjoying the film, and it is anticipated to continue to do well.
