Seniors, are you ready for your high school funeral? Probably not. Senioritis and Netflix have taken over your life. Put down the pizza and donuts and take a minute to think about your future.
If you’re going to college then…
1) Try to save your parents some money by accepting financial aid and applying for scholarships.
2) If you’re taking any loans, make sure you sit down and perform the boring task of going through loan counseling.
3) Escape the life of a poor college kid by getting a summer job. You’re probably going to be bored anyways so why not.
4) If you can afford it, plan a senior trip with your friends. Or if you don’t have friends, go with your family.
5) Don’t be homeless. Find a roommate and fill out those housing applications.
6) Buy stuff for your dorm/apartment. You don’t want to sleep on a naked old mattress.
7) If you’re commuting, figure out how you’re going to get to school.
8) Say goodbye to being a Shark and hello to whatever you’re going to be next. Buy some school spirit apparel to brag to everyone about your new school.
9) If you’re planning on actually studying, make sure to buy books for your classes. They’re sort of important.
10) Some schools require placement tests. Take them.
Good luck. See you at the next reunion.
