Ross is a senior who plays baseball outside of school. He works very hard to accomplish his goals and pushes himself to succeed.

How long have you been in this sport?

“I have been in this sport since I was 4 so 13 years”          

What sport do you play?

“Baseball”

What is the goal of the game?

“The goal of the game is to get as many runs as possible and win.”

What position do you play?

“The position I play is first base.”

What is one adjective that describes your sport and why?

“Fun because being out on the field with my friends is the best part.”

How has sport affected you physically and mentally?

“This sport has affected me physically because it has got me into shape. This has also affected me mentally because it is a game of smarts and strategy.”

What made you want to join this sport?

“What made me want to join this sport was because my dad played it in college and I wanted to be like him.”

What awards has your team won?

“We have won league twice and my travel team has won a few tournaments.”

Do you see yourself playing baseball in the future?

“Yes I do see myself  playing in college and maybe even as a professional.”

What injuries have you endured?

“Some injuries I have endured are 6 sprained ankles, sprained wrist, and broken nose.”

What special abilities and skills do you have?

“Some skills I am very good at is hitting and I’m pretty good at defense.”

What does the team do to warm up before practice or a game?

“We do a jog around the center field, stretch, throw, and then we do some infield and outfield drills.”
