The Negative Effects of Donuts

Donuts. Everybody loves donuts. Donuts, donuts, donuts. Why wouldn’t you like them? They taste delicious and just look so amazing. I mean, who isn’t obsessed with donuts? Well, there are some people – those rare individuals who bother to question what is going into their body before they actually consume it. The truth about donuts is heartbreaking, really. I feel for you.

Donuts are typically made in massive, centralized kitchens and then delivered in trucks to different outlets, so most of them aren’t fresh. At our favorite famous donut chains, the oil used to fry the batter is not changed out for two weeks. Imagine all the bacteria growing inside of it in those two weekend, and don’t even get me started on the bugs and insects that manage to get caught in it. Flies have a rather gross love for glaze, so just think of what happens when they land in it. Their tiny little legs get stuck in it. I don’t know about you, but I am absolutely disgusted with the thought of eating a fly’s legs! The sticky, sugary mixture glaze also attracts gnats and worst of all, cockroaches.

Have you ever bothered to find out what chemicals are used to make donuts taste so fantastically good? In the moment, eating a donut tastes like absolute heaven, but afterwards, it may not taste as amazing. Donuts are very close to the floors when they’re stored. So what do you think happens when the floors get cleaned with dirty water coming out of a hose? The donuts get splashed! And I repeat, with dirty water! How gross is that?

Not only did I get the chance to educate my readers with this article, but myself as well. In the end, no matter how delicious donuts are, we have to come to the conclusion that they cause many problems with our health. Cancer and Alzheimer’s are common diseases associated with eating donuts.
