Abigail Moore, Staff Writer
Abigail Moore (9) is a current Freshman at Santiago High School, where her favorite subject is History. Although an underclassman, she’s excited to take history in her future. She especially loves learning about European history. Abigail’s interest in writing started from a very young age. One of the first stories she remembered writing was about five children going on a treasure hunt, and following the clues, they are led to a magical unicorn. Since then, writing has been a way for her to express herself.
Her favorite trip she has ever been on is when she and her family traveled to Ireland and England. On this trip, she got to learn and experience their culture, history, and writings. Abigail loves traveling; she enjoys experiencing how other cultures live their lives. Besides traveling, Abigail volunteers at her aunt’s non-profit during the summer. There, she helps people with Down syndrome and disabilities of all ages. She enjoys getting to communicate and help them learn about the society they live in. From this experience, she learned the value of inclusion. She always put forth effort to make everyone feel involved and important. In the future, she hopes to travel and write about the history of places worldwide. It informs and teaches people about places and cultures not many know about.
