Faith Younan (12) is currently a Senior at Santiago High School and plans to attend college in the fall to study English literature. Her love for writing and literature developed her freshman year, this plus her interest in world news and politics lead her to pursuing a career in journalism. Although it is Younan’s first year writing for the paper, she looks forward to gaining knowledge and experience that she can take to college and beyond.Most of Younan’s time is spent on the practice field as she prepares for the field show and parade competition with the BOSS. Through band she has learned dedication, perseverance and the desire to be better and grow as a group.When she isn’t practicing with the rest of the band, she loves watching Gilmore Girls, reading thrillers, and baking sweet treats. In the coming years, Faith plans to attend a four-year university studying journalism and English literature as she chases her dream of becoming an investigative journalist, where she can impact the world by simply reporting on it.
