Leland Reyes (12) is a current Senior at

Santiago High School, where he has taken

several honors and A.P. classes in writing,

and is a staff writer. He also enjoys learning

about history, especially its parallels and

explanations of occurrences in the modern

day. Additionally, outside of school, he enjoys

watching and overthinking TV shows and

movies.

 

When growing up, he once yelled, “I hate

reading!”, and is now constantly reminded

about it from his aunt, considering the irony.

 

What drew him into journalism was the ability

of exploring, expanding, and learning more about

his writing skills, and being able to cover

topics he’s passionate about.

He plans to graduate and attend college,

hoping to find a career that involves writing.
