Lucas Heintz (10) is currently a sophomore at Santiago High School and runs distance for cross country and track. Ever since elementary school, he’s enjoyed writing and decided to join journalism to enhance his writing skills. He doesn’t particularly like AP classes, but he still hopes to get into South Dakota State University by taking honors classes and participating in extracurricular activities. Lucas loves to do distance running and hopes to run for college one day. Running improved his mentality and leadership skills. He learned and gained an interest in health and how the body works when exercising.  After college, he aims to be a physical therapist because he loves interacting with people and finds stretching, strengthening, and health fascinating.
