Nora Sun is a Freshman at Santiago High School and a staff writer at Sharks news . A few of her favorite classes are History and Language Arts, making her enjoy reading as a hobby, and although many books and different genres (mostly murder mystery or crime related) catch her attention, the Bible will always have a special place in her heart.

One of her favorite pastimes are facetiming friends, going out or church classes. Most of her friends didn’t attend Santiago this year, so she’s excited yet a bit nervous to get to know new people. Nora enjoys reading, and writing can be fun when the topic intrigues her.

Recently, over the summer on her annual trip to China, she joined a global essay competition, but the results have yet to be announced. Despite her now interests in the art of literature, before 6th grade, she strongly disliked it, But over the course of summer transforming from elementary to middle school, she practiced writing essays during her free time, and read more books she found interest in, developing her love for the subject, but her writing skills could still be improved immensely.

Although Nora prefers being with people, she also likes her alone time. It helps her focus on studying or her relationship with God. Lately, she’s been attempting to learn cooking and baking.

Since elementary school, Nora’s wanted to be a lawyer, but not until middle school did she start working to pursue that goal. She aspires to a career in law, whether a trial, corporate or injury lawyer is undecided but the field is certain. Another aspect she hopes to add value in this world, and most importantly, she wishes to be able to spread the word of God to everyone she knows.
