The new Five Nights at Freddy’s movie is set to release this October on Halloween’s spookiest day of the year. The film is based on the popular video game franchise of the same name. This was a final stand in the game development career of Scott Cawthon, which surprisingly took flight despite his lack of experience in the horror genre. The franchise has gained a massive following over the years, and fans are eagerly anticipating the movie’s release, considering the staggering amount of 9 rejected scripts.

The movie is directed by Emma Tammi, known for her work on The Wind and Into The Dark. The cast includes actors such as Josh Hutcherson, starring as Mike Schmidt, Matthew Lillard as William Afton, and Elizabeth Lail as Vanessa, all acting as the main characters. The link to the official page featuring the entire cast will be here: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4589218/fullcredits

The movie’s plot has just been partially released through a trailer hinting at many different perspectives to play in one centralized film. Still, it is expected to follow the same premise as the video game franchise. Although as a movie adaptation, it may be hard to recreate such beloved scenes from a video game into a film. However, with many different studios making excellent adaptations of beloved game franchises, I do not doubt that Blumhouse will not let the audience.

The movie appears at the original Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria location presented in the first game. It seems to have almost entirely based itself on the first game and probably will contain easter eggs from many different games considering its highly esteemed following globally. The collectively agreed lore that may occur in the movie is that the security guard Mike Schmidt will attempt to protect children from the clutches of the animatronics till 6 AM. All the animatronics will shut down and finally be safe to maneuver around and get those children to safety.

Fans of the franchise are excited to see their favorite characters come to life on the big screen as it has been around seven years since the movie’s initial announcement, hence the hype for the release after so much time. The film is expected to be a hit with both fans of the video game franchise and horror movie enthusiasts. However, it does seem that the trailer is slightly more children-oriented than people would like to admit. Nevertheless, with the talented cast and crew behind the movie, it will surely be a thrilling and terrifying cinematic experience for all who watch it.
