Lana Del Rey is nominated for five Grammy awards this year and is the main headliner for Coachella 2024, co-headlining with Tyler The Creator and Doja Cat. Her most recent album was named #1 album of the year by Pitchfork Magazine, Vogue, Nylon Magazine, and many more. Lana Del Rey is infamous for her looks, such as her hairstyle, often compared to Priscilla Presley’s, but this look made headlines in her new Skims Campaign for her friend Kim Kardashian, which has been posted via Instagram on Kim Kardashian’s account and her Skims account and Lana Del Rey’s account with Del Rey’s post gaining over five million likes. Recently, she has been seen hanging out with Kim Kardashian and even performed at her and her father’s ex-husband Kanye West’s wedding in 2014. She was photographed for Skims by Nadia Lee Cohen, her Hair styled by Anna Cofone, and her Makeup done by Etienne Ortega, and they posted their behind-the-scenes video recorded by Chuck Grant, Lana Del Rey’s sister.

“It’s already shaping up to be the year of Lana,” Vogue stated in a new issue by Christian Allaire.

Modeling for fashion brands is nothing new for Del Rey, who has also been tapped as a Gucci muse. The collaboration with Kim Kardashian (and her multi-billion-dollar shapewear brand), she says, is especially personal. “I love Kim, and I love her family,” Del Rey says.” – Vogue Magazine.

When asked by Vouge what drew her to work with the brand, she said…

“It was a cool coincidence. I had asked a mutual friend [of Kim and mine], Tracey Cunningham, if there was any way we could get one of the Swarovski [Skims] dresses that had sold out; at the same time, her friend Tracy Romulus asked if I’d be interested in doing a campaign. So it all happened at the same minute, which I took as a lucky sign. And I said, ‘Yeah, absolutely.’ I didn’t hesitate. Me and my girlfriends were pretty excited, actually.” – Vogue Magazine.

When Asked by Vogue: What do you love about the pieces Kim and Skims make?”

“Well, first of all, I love how well it’s doing for her. And second of all, I do wear basics on most days; I like wearing little rompers or onesies with a big T-shirt. I’m always curious to see what they will do; it’s an ever-evolving brand. It started as a niche brand, and I feel like it’s grown into a thing where now my sister and best friend Margaret are wearing it. Suddenly, you’re like, ‘Oh, you’re wearing Skims too,’ and you show up in the same outfit as getting a coffee. It’s sweet.” – Vogue Magazine.

When Vogue asked, ” How did the shoot concept evolve with the photographer Nadia Lee Cohen?”

“It was for a Valentine’s Day drop, so she and Kim’s concept drove it, and I just liked it the way it was. They wanted me to be blonde to look different from all the other photos I’d taken. I thought that was cool. I have worked with [Nadia] and love everything she does. I didn’t know that she was the person who shot Kim in her snow bunny [campaign]. That was what drew me in the most, and I was hoping [our shoot] would have a little bit of a sixties
flare, too.” – Vogue Magazine

She then finished her interview by discussing her Grammy nominations, her favorite song on the album, and her headlining Coachella this year.

By the gods, Lana Del Rey posted a Teaser to her new song called “Henry, Come On.” She posted it via Instagram on January 17 at 9:12 PM. And Billboard Magazine covered it earlier today.y

Do you think I’d choose it?/ All this off and on, Henry, come on,” she croons over folksy acoustic guitar, her sultry voice drenched in her trademark reverb.

“Baby, do you think I’d lose it on ya?/ If you did nothing wrong, Henry, come on,” she continues in the clip, whispering in some places. “Last call, hey ya, hang his hat on a wall.”

“Del Rey provided no other details about the project, although she did pair the audio with a hazy black-and-white Polaroid of her wiping her eye with her thumb. “country era is coming,” one fan commented, while another person added, “Ah, so is this what you’ve been cooking up here down south? ? Sounds beautiful!” – Billboard Magazine
