The last time Fortnite did an O.G. (original) season, they took players back to Chapter 1. While this was only for one month, it was well received. Fortnite’s return to Chapter 1 gave the game the biggest player count. On launch day for the season, Fortnite got an astounding 44.7 million players in just one day. According to IGN (Imagine Games Network), Epic said that Fortnite OG and the original map would return at some point this year after being relaunched in limited-time form back in November 2023. Enthusiasm for Fortnite OG was overwhelming, and Fortnite enjoyed its “biggest day,” with over 44.7 million players jumping in to take a trip down memory lane. Fortnite has decided to continue the trend of returning to past chapters by introducing Chapter Remix, a recreation of the Chapter 2 map. Chapter 2 island has returned but reimagined. The Official Fortnite Website stated, “The Chapter 2 map is back! Different locales will enter the scene each week as the featured artists make their debuts.” These famous hip-hop artists are as follows: Snoop Dog, Ice Spice, Eminem, and finally, Juice Wrld. In the first week of the new season, Snoop Dog has taken over “The Agency,” a point of interest on the Fortnite island, renaming it “The Doggpound,” where you can find the Snoop Dog NPC wandering the location. Classic locations have also returned in the first week, such as “The Yacht,” a cruise ship located off the North East side of the island. This ship is heavily guarded by Meowdas, a cross between the two skins, Midas and Meowscles. Fortnite announced this, “Meowdas is swole ‘n gold, and whatever he says goes. Pay a visit to The Yacht and take him out to get the Peow Peow Rifle!” The second week of this event takes us to the “Grotto,” which has been renamed to “Spaghetti Grotto” by Eminem. Fortnite said “Abracadabra! Guess who’s back, bruh? Eminem is reaching into his bag of tricks to make a restaurant appear, Mom’s Spaghetti, in the Grotto cave… an area known for its window shoppers and convenient location.” You may find the Eminem boss in the location. While you are there, you can fight him with the mythical rarity weapon, the “RG Minigun,” which spews lyrics from the famous song “Rap God (Clean).” Fortnite backs this up by stating, “Showed up to Spaghetti Grotto without a reservation? If you defeat Eminem, he’ll join your cause and bestow you with his Mythic RG Minigun — a lyrical minigun with a rapid-fire flow.” The third week of this season will introduce Ice Spice to the island. When she does appear, you’ll be able to find her walking around at “Ice Isle,” a replacement for “The Shark” from the original map. Fortnite stated that “Grrah. Bow down because Bronx baddie Ice Spice has dibs on Shark Island, now dubbed Ice Isle! You’ll love her plans for the place: Ice Isle will be a neon-lit, Y2K-dripped abandoned shopping mall with an ominous aura.” Finally, in the final week of the season, week 4, Juice Wrld will come to the game. It is unknown at the current moment what location he will be taking over or what weapons he will have. But it is known that he will host the end-of-season event. This event will be named “Remix: The Finale. The event will be shown on November 30th at 3 pm Eastern Time. Fortnite said this to honor his memory, “To honor Juice’s legacy and love for Fortnite, all players who log in between 1 AM ET on November 30 and 1 AM ET on December 1 will receive the cel-shaded Slayer Juice WRLD Outfit.” This season will only last for 1 month, unlike other seasons, which last 2-3 months.
