Johana Lopez, Staff Writer
Johana Lopez (10) is a current Sophomore at Santiago High School, Johana’s favorite subjects are math and Spanish. Johana graduates in the year 2026 and hopes to get into a university. They enjoy reading, writing, and learning about new things.
Johana has always loved to write. In Johana elementary school, there was an event where the students would write stories and turn them into a group called “The Little Workshop”. This group would then act out the story and perform on stage. Johana would always have fun writing these stories as anything was a possibility. Although they never won, it was a fun memory that they could cherish.
Johana recently went to Mexico for the summer and helped out her family at their store. Johana was thrilled to be able to learn and experience more about the different currency along with the hard work and responsibility of running a store. When Johana had free time in Mexico, they would have fun helping their grandma cook and clean or visit other family all around Mexico. These experiences helped them understand the importance of family and communication.
Johana hopes that the efforts they made will help them get a job as a child phycologist and they will be able to help their family in Mexico along with the children who are in need of help.
