What Happened?
On Monday, March 3, 2025, at about 1:10 that morning, several Tesla charging stations were set on fire at a shopping center outside Boston.

This shopping center is in Littleton, Massachusetts and this fire was only one of series of aggressive acts towards the business of Tesla, owned by Elon Musk, since the time of President Trumps election leading to significant speculation of both the public and law enforcement as he has been given the role of “one of Trumps most loyal supporters” (according to npr.org) as well as his governmental role of the white house head of the Department of Government efficiency.
The statement received by the Littleton Police Department said, “Chief Matthew Pinard reports that the Littleton Police Department responded to and is investigating fires at a Tesla charging station at The Point Shopping Center that are believed to be suspicious in nature,” followed by, “Responding officers observed that several Tesla charging stations were engulfed in flames and heavy, dark smoke.” (abcnews)
During this event, the police notified the nearby Littleton Electric Light & Water Department to communicate the need to shut off the power. However, as this was in action, another station caught on fire.
Thankfully, no civilians were harmed due to these fires, but this case in particular has been announced under investigation of arson with high suspicion rates.
After these fires, authorities have claimed, “Littleton Police and Fire Departments and the Massachusetts State Police Fire and Explosion Investigation Unit attached to the State Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating and have determined that the fire appears to have been intentionally set.”
Why Musk?
Due to Elon Musk’s role of power, he has been receiving consistent backlash. This act of violence on Tesla charging stations has created more public outrage due to the fear and feelings of a lack of safety.
Since the election of President Trump, more and more Tesla dealerships have been targeted by public protests and vandalism. Some of the most recent reasons for Musk’s public hatred circulate from “his radical takeover of the federal bureaucracy and his efforts to cut federal jobs” (nytimes.com). Still, as it has been seen consistently, it is clear that the negative connotation publicly represented of Elon Musk, as at least about (forbes.com) 53% of all Americans have opinions against Elon Musk.
Littleton Police response and investigation updates
It has been said that after the events of the fires, the Littleton authorities (police, firefighters, and Massachusetts state authorities) were set to investigate these fires on the assumption of arson, as assumptions have led them to believe they were intentional.

Unfortunately, this incident has not been solved, and the culprit/culprits have not been caught. Still, the Littleton authorities have sent out a message that anyone suspected of being a possible suspect or witness to the accident is to call the “Arson Watch Reward Program” at 1-800-682-9229.
