Cookie Cutter Corona

Corona, California: the home of the campus of the Santiago Sharks. It is a stable environment for families, the typical family life. Teens of Santiago have come to a unanimous vote that Corona is begging for a spark, an ignition, a flame. The youth of Corona wants to branch out. They want to experience different things, go to abnormal places, places that bring about interesting stories, and new ideologies to ponder. How can this be done when Corona is nothing original?

A carbon copy of the typical residential city, Corona lacks the uniqueness that well-known cities do, and in this includes a lack of places already loved by the youth that are out of the ordinary and are appealing to places nearby that require a drive. A neighboring city Chino Hills is home to places like Dripp, After’s, and a number of bakeries that are of small orientation rather than a franchise; Temecula is a place of great uniqueness with it’s dedicated area to quirky places in Old Town. Old Town is home to many restaurants and it resembles a strip and on the weekends it becomes very crowded and well loved by residents and travelers alike. It is an appeal to Temecula as a whole and Corona is begging for a place similar to it.

Corona is in need of a place of similarity, or even just an increase of small businesses. Places like coffee shops where the youth can spend time out enjoy a cup of coffee, and involve themselves in conversations that further their social aspects of their lives. There is a heavy yearning for places that are a change in atmosphere from the regular day-to-day activities to release stresses and involve people in a wider variety of groups. Also to overall, engage in lively activities before inevitably moving away from the cookie-cutter city to further their education and involve themselves in something bigger in pursuit of their dreams. The youth of individuals are aimed to other past times that create problems at other times in their life and with a plethora of options of places to go to spend their times; these negative outcomes would be avoided altogether.

In all, cookie cutter Corona is craving an originality that it has been lacking since its retirement of being a raceway in its prime. Corona needs new places of small orientation in order to keep up with the evolving past times of the youth. Corona is not by any means bad, just a tad boring and although steady and stable is good, the constant boredom of regular activities gets to be a bit too much and it is time for a boom in small businesses to arise.
