Along the east coast of Spain, the most violent days occurred. Beginning Wednesday night through Friday morning, acts of hatred by Isis occurred in the cities of Alcanar, Barcelona, and Cambrils.

In the beach town of Alcanar, Spain, a shaking explosion occurred Wednesday night on August 16, 2017. This explosion left one person dead and another injured. Twenty canisters of butane and propane gas were found after the explosion. This explosion was dismissed as a gas explosion, but after Thursday morning, the people considered that there was a connection between the two actions. Neighborhood homes were damaged by this explosion which was claimed to be heard from miles away.

Down the street of La Ramblas, Barcelona, where people go to admire the architecture and the taste of different plates, a second tragedy struck. On August 17, 2017, as tourists and subjects walked through the street that stretches 1.2 kilometers, a white van with bad intentions drove down the outside mall leaving more than 100 people injured and 14 dead. The suspect that was driving the van fled and managed to leave the area. Two persons that were involved in the attack were caught but neither was identified as the driver. As police were doing their job at a checkpoint, a driver ran over two police men who were injured and not killed. Hours after the sorrow that occurred in Barcelona, Friday morning in the city of Cambrils shots was fired by policemen. After the second attack took place, five suspects who were wearing fake explosive belts were killed by policemen.

World peace is an accomplishment that needs to be reached in order to live a more secure life without a constant fear of losing something or someone you love.
