Today’s Children and Energy Drinks

Todays+Children+and+Energy+Drinks

In today’s world everyone is drinking energy drinks. Even kids in Elementary School, Middle School, and High School. The question at hand is should this even be tolerated in schools.
It’s a fact that drinking energy drinks can have negative effects on your health no matter what your age. Including, but not limited to diabetes, cardiac abnormalities, or mood and behavioral disorders. So why are these drinks that are so obviously bad for you especially at a young age accepted at schools. These drinks should definitely not be allowed at schools not just because of the health effects it causes, but also because it sets a bad precedent for other young and influential minds. By tolerating something that is so clearly bad for us others may think, well if something like this is allowed at school then why wouldn’t this be? The simple fact that these drinks are not banned shows a somewhat lacks of concern for things that are truly hazardous in our schools. Schools have banned the most ridiculous items for the most ridiculous reasons. For instance Joggers, band shirts, dyed hair etc. have all been banned from certain schools, but a drink that is so obviously terrible has yet to be banned.
In total these drinks should not be encouraged anywhere. Let alone be tolerated in our schools.
