Kate O’Reilly (9) is currently a Freshman at Santiago High school where her favorite subjects are Language arts and anything with writing.
Despite being an underclassman, she hopes to prove herself and her passion for writing in her future AP literature classes and writing for Shark Attack.
Her love of writing developed as she wrote stories and essays in school. She loved to write about personal and real stories. She loves writing about experiences in her life that have had a great impact on her.
Kate volunteers as a coach at her club coaching 4 to 8 year old’s and has been for almost a year. She saw how important it was for kids and all ages to get out of the house and be a part of something bigger than themselves. From the experiences, she has had her view on helping others and the importance of socializing has grown and made her more grateful for the opportunity to be a part of her community and get to know her peers.
In the future, Kate hopes to find a career as a Special ed teacher or as an aid to help families who struggle with drug abuse. She hopes to help others in need and to get through the struggles of life even when there seems to be no way out. Everyone has an impact on the world it can be good or bad but Kate hopes that the impact she makes can be great. She has been inspired by many and she hopes she can inspire at least one.
