Traffic in California is Terrible

Traffic in California is Terrible

Have you ever gone on the 91 Freeway or on Interstate 15 and someone decided that they did not want to get off at a particular exit at the last possible second? This can lead to stopped cars on in certain lanes, people having “Road Rage”, and cars almost running into each other. There are multiple reasons cars pile on the freeway, but mainly it’s from too many people living here in California.

There are many factors that can lead to overcrowded freeways, but the main one is the number of people living in this area of the country. I think this is one of the best states weather wise to live in, but the worst with moving those people around. You can support this statement by driving on Interstate 15 South right after school or any side streets you take to get home. Any street we go on that is near an intersection is packed with cars and trucks going all different directions.

It is nice that we have people living here and new homes being built as we speak, but the roads are not meant to handle this kind of traffic. When a plan is made for a road overpass, it takes years for it to get an approval and by then it is out of date. It goes through so many unnecessary people and by the time it is finally approved, the problem is still not fixed, and then they continue to wonder why traffic is bad here.

There is so much traffic here and people who live out of state can’t wrap their heads around what we go through every day. We dream of a system that moves us from point A to point B with a little headache – which cannot happen until we change the way we approve the plans because it’s not working.
