At last, the long-awaited X-Men: The Dark Phoenix official trailer was released on September 26, 2018. The fanbase was thrilled to receive more information regarding the return of X-men, the new and mysterious villain, and the intricate plot line. This flick is centered on Jean Grey, who was previously seen in X-Men: Apocalypse, as she becomes the powerful being known as Dark Phoenix.

Originally, the film was scheduled to be shown in local cinemas on November 2, 2018, but the date was pushed back to February 14, 2019, and has now settled upon June 7, 2019. The last movie, X-Men: Apocalypse, was released on May 27, 2016. A total of three years and eleven days has passed between the two motion pictures.

*Warning: Possible Spoilers Ahead*

With the recent trailer having been uploaded, supporters have chosen a new topic to debate upon: which character is going to die? The untimely death has been hinted upon in both the trailer and various social media accounts. Speculating fans have narrowed the possible deaths down to these two heroes: Magneto and Mystique. These mutants have been a huge part of the franchise since the very beginning and their deaths would have the greatest emotional impact on the audience. Other possible deaths have been contemplated, such as Quicksilver, Cyclops, and even Jean Grey herself.

Whoever you believe will face their ultimate end in this upcoming blockbuster, this much is true – X-Men: The Dark Phoenix is bound to be emotionally jarring for each individual sitting in the audience. With all this being said, many fans, including myself, are eagerly awaiting the film’s release and any plot twists it may hold.
