Are Lizzo’s Dancers Lying?

Are Lizzo’s dancers lying?

Lizzo is being sued by three of her dancers for creating an over-sexualized workplace. She is being accused of sexual harassment and creating a hostile work environment. The lawsuit was released on August 1, 2023, when the Los Angeles County Superior Court claimed that Lizzo pressured her dancers to engage with nude dancers at a club and then body shame them before firing them.

Lizzo responds to the allegations by saying, “I am not here to be looked at as a victim, but I also know that I am not the villain that people and the media have portrayed me to be these last few days.”

“I am very open with my sexuality and expressing myself, but I cannot accept or allow people to use that openness to make me out to be something I am not.” She says, “These last few days have been gut-wrenchingly difficult and overwhelmingly disappointing. My work ethic, morals, and respectfulness have been questioned. My character has been criticized.”

Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez are suing for damages over emotional distress, including unpaid wages, loss of earnings, attorney’s fees, and numerous charges, including sexual, religious, and racial harassment, disability discrimination, assault, and false imprisonment. A dancer also claimed that Lizzo would physically assault them. The court filing claims that after performing a concert in Amsterdam, Lizzo and her crew attended a sexually themed show at a club in the city’s Red Light District, where
“Lizzo began inviting cast members to take turns touching the nude performers.” During the show, Lizzo led a chant pressuring Davis to touch the breasts of one of the nude women performing at the club, the filing states.

Lizzo is known for being a singer, influencer, dancer and for spreading body positivity. But her now ex-dancers are victims of being body shamed, unable to eat, and abused.

Lizzo: 'Cancel Culture Is Appropriation' and Now 'Trendy'

Just recently, Lizzo has broken her silence. She denied all allegations. He stated, “My work ethic, morals, and respectfulness have been questioned. My character has been criticized. Usually, I choose not to respond to false allegations, but these are as unbelievable as they sound and too outrageous not to be addressed.” Saying that her dancers are lying and wanting attention. She said she would never call her dancers names or force them to do any sexual activities. Lizzo’s creative director supported the allegations and criticized her behavior. My work ethic, morals, and respectfulness have been questioned. My character has been attacked. Usually, I choose not to respond to false allegations, but these are as unbelievable as they sound and too outrageous not to be addressed,” she said.

Now, who do we believe? The media? Lizzo? The dancers? This can ruin Lizzo’s life and career. These girls are saying this to get attention if this is a lie. Then Lizzo should be the one who is suing. Or vice versa. This news is worldwide and is shocking to the public.
