Messi in Miami: Successes and Defeats

Messi+in+Miami%3A+Successes+and+Defeats

Lionel Messi recently transferred to Inter-Miami, based out of Miami, Florida. Messi, who spent his entire professional career in Barcelona, sent shockwaves through the soccer community’s hearts due to his transfer. Since Messi is widely known as one of the greatest players of all time, the decision to move could, without a doubt, be a controversial topic for many soccer fans.

The club inter-Miami was previously owned by another famous football player, David Beckham. The football player has been known for his excellent curveballs, and he even has a favorite saying named after him, “Bend it like Beckham.” Beckham has made a bold statement by securing the services of Messi, which signals their ambition to compete at the highest level. The club also has the potential to publicize Messi to a greater level, giving a unique opportunity for American football fans to embrace their love for Messi himself and see him up close. At the same time as all this excitement, an equal amount of fans are disappointed due to the transfer. Most supporters of Messi, who enjoyed watching him play in Barcelona, are disappointed in the transfer. The dramatic location change may also disappoint Europeans and South Americans.

The new environment is capable of sparking new opportunities for Messi, not just popularity-wise. He will be able to adapt to American culture and learn the language, and will now be able to experience how life works in the United States, sports and non-sports related. There will be a legacy left when Lionel Messi leaves. Messi himself stated, “I can tell you that I am thrilled with the decision I made and for how my family and I live our day-to-day lives and how we enjoy the city and this new experience and how the people received us from the first day, from the people of Miami and the people of the US in general.” Messi is beyond excited and proud to live and play soccer in Miami.

Messi has scored 13 goals out of 11 games. At this rate, he’s had more wins than losses and more goals than none per game. This is an excellent ratio, especially since Messi just joined the club. Messi’s presence on the team not only boosted Inter Miami in terms of visibility but also brought expectations of immediate success. Messi has boosted Inter Miami’s publicity and has very high expectations of success for the club. His performance at the club has been excellent, but the ratio is more significant than his past performances in Barcelona. When Messi was playing in FC Barcelona, he played 778 matches for the club and scored 672 goals. In this ratio, the matches are more significant than the goals, although in the new ratio for Inter Miami, he’s scored more goals than played more matches. Messi’s performance in Inter Miami has been more successful than in Barcelona.

Lionel Messi is bringing many signs of victory to the team and making Miami fans happy. Not only is he impacting the team skill-wise but also publicity-wise. Messi’s fame is giving more attention to Inter Miami following all the news. Lionel Messi has mainly brought success to Inter Miami, set expectations for the club, and will continue to do so. Messi will undoubtedly leave a legacy for future American and Argentinian club players.

Kendra Darcy (9) is a current Freshman at Santiago High School, and her current interests are psychology and music. Writing has always sparked her interest; she enjoys doing it in Spanish and English. Her fluidity in both languages has been a big help with her passion for writing and music, as she has been exposed to many distinct genres. Kendra usually listens to music; she either tunes into Beabadoobee, newjeans, or Wave to Earth while hanging out with her friends or shopping for albums. Later, she plans to study psychology and help people explore and express their thoughts and feelings through communication. You may reach her at [email protected]
