On Jan 4, 2024, There was a school shooting in Iowa after winter break. This story that I am about to write about is unfortunate. This is about a boy who was bullied and lost his mind. Because of the particular reason for the circumstance, he killed some people. This happened in Iowa at Perry High School. This was their first day back from break. The boy is 17 years old. The boy had more than one Parents of Perry school shooter Dylan Butler release public.

On Jan 4, 2024, kids went back to school that went to Perry High School. While the kids were standing outside, the student heard a bang from the bathroom. The principal ended up running to the bathroom and saw a little boy on the floor and a 17-year-old boy holding a gun in his hand. The boy had four kids lined up to shoot them in the bathroom. The principal started to talk to the boy to detract him so the principal could get the kids out of the bathroom. It worked for a bit, but the boy found out what he was doing, so he shot the principal in the arm. He hit the other four students. One-sixth grader was killed, and five others were injured. After he shot the different people, he shot himself in the bathroom. The boy’s name was Dylan Butler. He was making posts on social media before all this happened. This all happened because he got picked on. Police say that he had all this planned out. 

This happened because some students were picking on him at school. The boy killed six on the spot, and a few days later, the principal ended up dying in the hospital. He passed on January 14, 2024. The principal’s name was Marburger; he was 56 years old. He has been a principal since 1997. He died ten days after the shooting. There also was an 11-year-old boy who was shot and killed in the bathroom. Six others were put in the hospital. The principal had five kids. His family said that he loved all of his students. He and his wife were married at 43 years old. They had been in love since eighth grade. The boy who killed the principal also had a boom in his backpack. The 11-year-old boy’s name was Ahmir Jolliff. He was killed first in the shooting. This all happened at Perry High School in Iowa. The school is trying to raise money for the students who have gotten shot. The 17-year friends were crying so hard when they found out he killed himself. The friends knew he was getting bullied, but they didn’t do anything about it. This story was unfortunate—a 17-year-old boy who went to Perry High School and killed seven others. The principal funeral was on Jan 20,24. All the parents are unhappy because their child is either gone or hurt. Many friends are going to be broken.
