Beginning on the 13th of October, the Dodger’s player Ohtani (17) reached three home runs or “homers” within one game. With the first two games taking place at the Brewers’ stadium, the last two games took place at the Dodgers’ home stadium in Los Angeles. The Dodgers swept the Brewers, opening the door to the World Series.
Game 1, October 13th
October 13th brought game one to play. At the top of the sixth inning, Freeman (5) hit a homer to right field, boosting them ahead of the Brewers. MLB.com reported that the Dodgers added two crucial runs later in the ninth inning. The Brewers were at the tail end and needed to pick up their play. In the ninth inning, Chourio (11) was at bat, and he hit a fly ball to center field, allowing his teammate, Collins (6), to go home and ending the game final at 2-1, Dodgers.

Game 2, October 14th
By game two, the tension was rising between Brewers and Dodgers fans. Every witness was on the edge of their seat. Watching. Waiting.
In the first inning, the Brewers hit a “homer” to right-center field. Later in the game, the Dodgers scored five runs in the middle innings while the Brewers fell behind. As the game reached an end, the total score was 5-1 with the Dodgers winning once again, but the Brewers still did not lose heart in the third and fourth games. The fans of both sides were anxious, knowing the next two games could fall either way.
Game 3, October 16th
The third game came on October 16th, possibly the tipping point for either the Dodgers or the Brewers. During the game, the Dodgers scored three runs while the Brewers scored only 1 point. The final was 3-1, with the Dodgers taking the win in the third game. Brewers fans were profoundly disappointed compared to the ecstatic Dodgers fans.
Game 4, October 17th
The fourth game took place the next day. Shohei Ohtani redeemed himself after a stretch of inconsistency, and he scored three “homers” in this game, one in each of the bottom of the first, fourth, and seventh innings. The Brewers scored one run, while the Dodgers scored two more. When the game ended, the final score was 5-1 for the Dodgers in the final match. Ohtani’s homers were unbelievable to see as all three nearly flew out of the park.

The Dodgers eliminated the Brewers for the third time in their several playoff appearances. Many fans within the city of Corona celebrated the Dodgers’ success ecstatically. An unfortunate event for the Brewers: they finished first in the NL Central, according to Statmuse, with a 97-65 record, but lost 4-0 to the LA Dodgers in the 2025 NLCS.
While Brewers fans faced disappointment, Dodgers fans were ecstatic. This will be their 14th time entering the World Series. According to Sporting News, the Dodgers have won 8 games and lost 14, and have played in 22 World Series.
