Now that the third quarter of the 2013-2014 school year is coming to a close, the onset of AP tests are rapidly approaching for AP students- and with each AP test costing $92, the price will not be cheap. Despite this, if students elect to pay for the tests with cash (or a money order) at the Shark Shop, rather than with credit card, the tests will receive a $3 discount. In addition, discounts reducing the costs of AP tests to $5 are also available for those who are eligible, and must submit their fee waivers to the Shark Shop by Feb. 20.
For those not able to make a singular $92 or $89 payment, they may make one deposit of $20 (non-refundable, that must be made in cash) by Feb 20 as well. Then the rest of the $69 payment must be provided by March 20.
The tests will be ordered by Spring break, and a late fee of $55 will be charged for those ordered after, causing each late test to amount to a cost of $144.
Though costly, AP testsĀ provide students a cheaper alternative to taking the classes in college and can be taken in high school, ultimately relieving them of the cost of several hundred dollars of university-provided education.
