Santiago’s GSA (Gay Straight Alliance) is a club dedicated to creating equality among all students, and creating many memories for its members and participants.
Advised by teacher Stephanie Ransom, the club participates in many district activities such as movie nights and, most recently, a district-wide formal dance that will be supported by Unity and GSA itself.
The dance will be held on March 8 at Pollard High School from 7-11 p.m. Students from all high schools of the CNUSD district will be in attendance. Students who are attending the masquerade-themed ball are quite ecstatic to meet new friends and be able to spend the night dancing at the event.
“I feel like I’m most excited for the part where we take off our masks and see who we’ve been dancing with for the past half hour,” said GSA’s president, Jacob Miller (12). The tickets are currently on sale, and can be purchased from Ransom for $15, or $20 at the door. Tickets will be sold until March 7. Both Unity and GSA are enthusiastic to see everybody there and having fun.
