Yeezy Season Four

Yeezy Season Four, being Mr. West’s fourth installment of his fashion line with Adidas, took a sharp turn in contrast to the other three fashion lines. The fact that he was forced to follow up his beautiful Season Three; which was where he premiered his new album The Life of Pablo, might have been the main reason for this sharp turn. Some call Season Four a hot mess or even go as far to call it a disaster however this is not the case. Season Four was the worst of all the seasons that is not up for debate, it was rushed, and hard to follow up with the beautiful Third Season at the Madison Square Garden.

Season Four took place at Roosevelt Island, a relatively small island within the middle of New York City. Mr. West choreographed his models to walk in the formation of a triangle, which indeed looked beautiful from a bird’s eye view, as well as from an on the ground view. The colors were very well contrasted with Roosevelt Island’s natural green color, providing a very pleasing to the eye look. However what made the season the worst out of them all, were the wardrobe difficulties a handful of the models had. These difficulties consisted of models falling because of their shoes and others. Not to mention the fact the “models” were untrained women Mr. West recruited the day before

As for the clothing, they were anything you would expect from Kanye, although something that did strike the fashion world were the transparent and silver metallic thigh high boots, the opinion on these are very divided. Some hate them, while some are in love with the concept. Overall, Season four was not a disaster, rather it did not fill the big shoes it needed to fill. A mediocre fashion show, but pretty low considering the standards of the Genius himself; Kanye West.
