Lonzo Ball Rookie Season

Lonzo Ball has had the most hype surrounding him since LeBron James, and with that comes a lot of expectations. Some of the hype has come from his father with his ridiculous remarks. In college, Lonzo was a team player by getting his teammates involved and would make big plays, but with his dad expecting so much, people thought Lonzo would break into the league as a star. To start the season, Lonzo did not do so well as his shooting percentage was one of the worst of NBA guards. In about 20 games, Lonzo started getting triple doubles and his shooting percentage increasingly grew. With the All-Star break, it is now showing that Lonzo has brought a different culture to this team. Everyone on the roster shared the ball and made the right play when Lonzo was in the game. Lonzo has also been going through minor injuries in a shoulder and in his knee. Lonzo has missed 14 games so far and you can tell this team really does miss him when he’s not on the court. With half of the season gone, Lonzo has averaged 10 PPG 7 RPG 7 APG. As a rookie other NBA superstars have supported Lonzo saying he’s gonna become a great player. With the stats of Lonzo Ball so far throughout the season, the team has increasingly got better. With all the hype, people don’t appreciate Lonzo’s stats and his season so far. With a player as hyped up as Lonzo, people expect high numbers because they didn’t see him play in college, but with people who did see him play in college, this is exactly what they expected. I think the Lakers know who they drafted and I think they have drafted a very promising player.
