Presidential candidate Donald Trump has received various responses on his viewpoint and his opinion of what America should be. Trump, currently the frontrunner of the Republican Party with 82 delegates won, has also been the center of many debates. He is seen to be bold, confident, and ambitious. My personal opinion on Trump is that he is over ambitious.

While currently I am unable to vote, in just four years time, many others and myself will be, and Trump’s presidency will affect us all. According to statistics, presidents with an approval rating above forty-nine percent are more than likely elected again. Thus, his presidency may last eight years rather than four.

As for Trump’s immigration solution and his request that Mexico pays for a wall to be built, I agree with Vicente Fox that the wall should not be constructed at Mexico’s expense. However, I disagree with his wording. Trump’s continuous insistence that Mexico pay for his wall has prompted a response from ex-Mexican president Calderon. “We are not going to pay a single cent for such a stupid wall. And it’s going to be completely useless,” Calderon stated at the AmCham Egypt for Business Conference on February 7. I agree that Trump’s wall will prove pointless and a waste of money.
