Santiago Hockey Team

Santiago Hockey Team

Winter sports include the regular boys basketball, swim, and soccer, yet the gem that goes hardly recognized is the ice hockey team. Yes we have an ice hockey team, Junior Varsity and Varsity, that consists of 36 talented hockey players from across the Corona-Norco School District. The varsity team is led by Captain Spencer Hascall, Santiago senior and assistant coaches King senior Blake Zahn and Santiago sophomore Cody Vadeboncoeur. The JV team is led by Captain Makenna Ristow, Santiago junior and one of two girls on the hockey team, and the assistant coaches are John Wells, homeschooled junior and Eric Strong, Santiago freshman. As games had begun September 10th at the Anaheim Ice, the boys and girls play local teams from other districts including St. John Bosco and Central Cathedral all in hopes of succeeding in the playoffs in March, held at the Honda Center. If you ever want to support your local sharks or just interested in hockey, the next game will be December 16th at the Anaheim Ice.
