Is the Moon Landing Fake?

Is the Moon Landing Fake?

Valerie Morales, Staff Writer

While everyone knows that Neil Armstrong was the first to land on the moon back on July 20th, 1969, many have recently started to question the legitimacy of the moon landing, even to go as far as saying it was staged. While NASA has yet to address these claims, there are many factors in the original moon landing that give off the feeling that the moon landing was faked.

I personally believe that the moon landing was faked due to the United States wanting to be the first to get onto the moon. The first topic I would like to bring into evidence is the way the flag started waving when it was put onto the moon. Many didn’t catch that, or just plain didn’t care, but flags are NOT supposed to move when there is no wind. If the moon landing was truly filmed on the moon as it was supposed to be, then the flag wouldn’t have moved due to there being no wind on the moon. This was one of the first indications that lead many to believe the moon landing was faked.

A question most people ask is why they would go to such extreme lengths to fake the moon landing. Well, my answer for that is, back in the 1960s, every country wanted to be the first to make it to outer space and land on the moon. With every country fighting for first place, America decided to take it into their own hands and fake the moon landing so they could be the first. The plan was simply genius and would create the effect of America being the best by excelling in being the first to land on the moon. I understand that many believe that America wouldn’t make an entire set about the moon rather than actually trying to create the technology to fly to space.  But, if every single country wanted to be the first, then America was willing to fake it so that they could be the first and win superior to all the other countries.

The theory of the moon landing being faked first got popular when Fox aired a film called, “Conspiracy Theory: Did We Land on the Moon?” This caused many people to begin looking into the moon landing and they began to uncover many details that weren’t adding up to possibilities of actually landing on the moon.  The Fox documentary gave evidence and multiple photos proving that the filming of the moon landing was faked to win the space race.

The other examples to prove that the moon landing was faked is the pictures released from the moon landing documentary of the moon rocks having numbers on them. People believe these rocks were set there as props because they were strangely numbered.

There was no possible way that back in 1969, NASA was able to send someone to outer space, or to the moon without dying or having a failed test run. Just looking at the documentary and seeing the shadows could prove that the moon landing truly was faked. The lighting and shadows given during the moon landing show that is was unnatural and impossible to have been filmed on the moon. At certain points in the documentary, you can see a studio light reflected in the astronaut’s helmet.

Some theorists are even starting to convince others that the moon just doesn’t exist. They believe that the government projected an image of the moon to fool everyone. Once the space race began, America knew they would have to make everyone believe the moon still exists and faked the entire documentary. People who believe in flat earth also believe in the moon being a fake image.

While I might be pretty gullible, there is no way that the moon is fake and doesn’t really exist. I am leaning more to start believing that the moon landing was faked rather than it wasn’t. With the evidence being shown, and the way that NASA hasn’t talked or discussed why there are many plot holes in their documentary, there are definitely questions to be asked when discussing the moon landing. When discussing the moon is fake, you should definitely believe what you want, but personally, there is no way that a moon is a fake object that the government created.
