Have you ever considered traveling outside the country to learn to become happy? Finland is giving away free trips to 10 people from countries outside of their own for them to take lessons on inner happiness! This is the mark of the sixth year in a row that Finland has been voted the happiest country in the world. The factors of health, generosity, and income determine this accomplishment. Finland’s first class on happiness, the “Masterclass of Happiness,” will be held at Kuru Resort in mid-June

Unfortunately, only ten lucky people will have the opportunity to take this four-day trip to find their inner happiness. To be considered for this experience, an application needed to be sent in. The first part of the application was a form to fill out, while the second portion was to complete a social media challenge. However, the country’s tourism authority “Visit Finlandshared that those who were not chosen would still have the chance to attend the Masterclass of Happiness, over the summer, in an online format. The four days of classes are supposed to cover nature and lifestyle, health and balance, design and every day, and finally, food and well-being.

The Kuru Resort will provide various private villas, each with its spa and sauna, designed for the guest to connect with the natural surroundings. Participants will be surrounded by a forested area over Finland covered by many lakes.

Finland is giving this opportunity because many people are struggling to find happiness, especially after the tough last few years. According to the 2022 Oracle Happiness Report:

“12,000 respondents [were surveyed] in 14 countries, 88 percent of people are looking for experiences that will make them smile and laugh, and nearly half (45 percent) of us have not felt true happiness in more than two years.”

Hopefully, this is a starting point for more classes and experiences like this one. Then, the happier people become, the better our world will be.
