Beat the Streak

Beat+the+Streak

Undefeated? That’s definitely a question for the Carolina Panthers as they go into week 15 undefeated. The Panthers look like any team in the NFL can’t stop them. A huge part of the Panthers success is their MVP candidate QB Cam Newton. Newton has a season high in touchdowns with 28 and he hasn’t even reached the end of the regular season. Newton is also second on the team in rush yards with 480 behind Panthers RB Jonathon Stewart. Although Newton’s stats aren’t mind blowing he has a couple of games with clutch TD’s when the Panthers needed them. You can’t give Cam Newton all the credit with the panther’s streak; their defense has been really dominant this season by letting teams average only 307.8 YPG. The Panthers are also in the top 5 between passing and rushing yards allowed against them. The Panthers look like they should cruise through the rest of the season with a very easy schedule. The Panthers are scheduled to play the Buccaneers, Giants, and Cowboys for their last three games. Every one of those teams that are scheduled to play them all have a record below .500, so I see the Panthers having no trouble with them. The last time an NFL franchise has had a perfect season was when the Miami Dolphins finished 14-0 over forty years ago. So if the Carolina Panthers pulled it off it would be a major milestone for the team and the NFL.
